St Johns Park Public School is located in the Fairfield district in the south western area of Sydney. The students come from widely varying socio-economic backgrounds and cultures, with ninety-two percent having a non-english speaking background. It is a priority schools program school which provides equity programs focussed on improving student learning outcomes, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy. Special programs include english as a second language teaching, community language teaching in chinese and vietnamese, an opportunity class, a support class, student learning assistance teachers, early student support program, reading recovery and an on-site pre-school. The community is extremely supportive with high academic and behavioural expectations. We adhere to the school motto 'Always Our Best'.
